24fps Coming to the Canon Mark D5 Mark II
The lack of 24fps is one of the major reasons I didn't shoot Rejouer on the D5 back in June only a few short months ago. However, Canon has just announced they will have a firmware update in the first half of 2010 for the D5 Mark II to allow 24 and 25 frames per second recoding. A bit of a wait considering how fast this HDSLR playing field is changing, but well worth the wait considering the cost of the camera. Thanks Canon for not forsaking D5 owners who are the loyal 1st generation adopters of this fledgling HDSLR format. I'll be keeping my D5 now.
