Mosaic Engineering has developed an optical anti-moire/anti-aliasing filter for the Canon 5D Mark II. The filter is removable and easy to install with no modification to the camera needed. This will definitely extend the life of you 5D. Light loss is about 1/4 stop and the focal length on your lens will change, but it's a worthy trade off for $385.00.
